Receipts First, Story Second

I stopped posting for five months. My AI agents didn’t stop working.

While I was quiet, here’s what actually shipped:

  • An AI denial-management engine that reads payer denials, writes the appeals, and works a queue of denied claims worth $182K — for a real medical practice, in production.
  • Agents that verify insurance eligibility, prep claims, and chase payers across portals — jobs that normally take a full back-office team.
  • A revenue cycle platform rebuilt end to end, run day to day by agents instead of headcount.

Here’s my take, and I know some people will disagree.

“Build in public” has quietly become “market in public.” Founders optimizing the narrative instead of the product. Posting velocity over shipping velocity. You can watch someone document a company for a year and realize at the end that the documentation was the company.

I’m not anti-posting — obviously, I’m back. Distribution matters. But the order matters more:

Build the thing. Get it working in production. Then talk.

Receipts first. Story second.

If you’re a founder and you had to pick just one for the next six months — ship quietly or narrate loudly — I think the honest answer tells you a lot about which business you’re actually building.
